Contemplating Hats

Hello Friends! This weekend I have been contemplating the strange subject of hats. I know, it's a bit of an odd thing to contemplate but I am a bit odd so, it makes sense. I love hats. I like that they can be practical (keep out the sun), fashionable, and save me from a boring pony tail when I haven't washed my hair. I've been trying to expand my hair "wardrobe" and this year I have purchased two straw fedora style hats.  The problem is, there are so many hat options that I like, but I don't know what type of outfit to wear with different types of hats. For example, I love the 1920's style cloche hat and would love to get one but I have no idea what would look good with it. Do you know? Could you give me some pointers? What types of hats do you like to wear? With what outfits?

I thought that i'd start off this blog with one of my favorite pictures from a recent trip that my family and I took to Lake Tahoe, California. In life, we often need a reminder to just keep on going. The journey may be hard but it will be worth it.
